We hope this announcement finds you well and in relatively good spirits after a week of heavy announcements. It’s certainly a lot to process and are hearts are with those of you that have been impacted by the transition into stage 4 restrictions.
This update includes what you need to know about our services during the lock down.
We are happy to advise clients that under the stage 4 restrictions, we are an essential service and can remain open to care for clients as we have been.
All our practices are still open for in-practice and Telehealth consultations (click the link to find out more).
There have been no major changes to the services we offer from stage 3 to stage 4.
No Referral Required
You do not need a referral to attend – it was suggested this week that clients would need a GP or specialist referral to attend in person if they didn’t already have one, however this advice has been withdrawn. There is no need to obtain a referral if you have an upcoming appointment with us.
You are permitted to travel outside your 5km radius for your appointment. Seeking health care is an essential reason to leave home. Your booking confirmation or SMS reminder can be used as proof of travel.
For clients who are staying home, self-isolating or just don’t want to change out of their PJ’s, Telehealth is a fantastic option to continue care at home. It provides a safe, interactive platform for assessment, education and management. Telehealth holds a great amount of benefit and all conditions we treat at Capital Physiotherapy can be addressed via an online consultation. If you are unsure if Telehealth will work for you, we are happy to arrange a call back from one of our physiotherapists who can discuss how it will work for your condition specifically.
