COVID-19 Update Information to All Valued Clients from Capital Physiotherapy

Dear Valued Capital Physio clients,

The health and safety of our clients and staff is our number one priority.

If you have recently travelled, if you are experiencing the following symptoms; fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, or have been told to self-isolate, please contact our reception team to discuss your upcoming appointment. We can offer alternative options, such as telehealth physio consultations.

Capital Physiotherapy Hygiene Measures

We want to take this opportunity to inform our clients of the hygiene measures we are taking to ensure client/staff safety.

Hospital-grade hand wash and sanitiser are used and available throughout our practice. We ask clients to use this before and after their session.

Our exercise equipment, such as weights, bikes and fit-balls are being disinfected after each use. During clinical physio sessions, we will disinfect the machine and mats after every use by each client as well.

We have also removed the toy box from our exercise studios. If you plan to bring your little one with you to your appointment, please bring your own toys.

Our reception desk and waiting room and treatment room is cleaned regularly throughout the day.

To ensure our safety of all our clients and staff, we will be having handheld thermometer in the next 1-2 weeks to check every client’s temperature prior to their sessions. Anyone with temperature higher than 37.5 degree will be kindly ask to reschedule or change the appointment to telehealth appointment when possible.

Safety Tips

Simple measures we can all take to help prevent the spread.

Wash your hands with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds, use hand sanitiser when you don’t have access to a sink.

Avoid touching your eyes, face, and mouth

Sneeze into a tissue or your elbow and cover your mouth if you need to cough.

Advice

Advice surrounding the Coronavirus is constantly evolving. We are being regularly updated by the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) regarding protocols for our practice, which we are strictly following to help keep you safe.

We are working with our team to provide possible telehealth consultation service soon for people who are unable to leave home or choose to not leave home.

As your health care provider, we are still obligated to let you know that stopping a physiotherapy session might prolong your injuries and possibly deteriorate your symptoms. In this critical time, we are trying everything we can to help everyone who need our service to still benefit from it in every way possible safely.

Telehealth Consultation

Telehealth consultation would be a viable option to progress your rehab. It can be beneficial to progress your exercise, giving you advice on your current and latest symptoms to prevent it from getting worse.

Please rest assured that we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure your safety here in our clinic and we take these measures seriously. We hope for your understanding and cooperation.

We understand these are uncertain times, if you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact our reception team on 0401 865 333 (South Yarra), 0406 067 105 (Hawthorn), or 0434 720 730 (Footscray) – we are here to help.

Thank you,
